Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026 · Effective: 21 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on givethemchills.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies

A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We also use related technologies such as localStorage(in-browser key-value storage) and short-lived browser fingerprinting (a hash of your user-agent and timezone used only for fraud prevention). For brevity we refer to all of these as "cookies".

2. Categories we use

We only set non-essential cookies after you give consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit, in line with the ePrivacy Directive and Recital 32 GDPR.

3. Managing your choices

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies from the consent banner shown on your first visit. You may withdraw or change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies via Settings → Privacy. Note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the Service, including saving your draft and completing checkout.

4. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

We respect the Global Privacy Control(GPC) signal: when your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential cookies and any "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal data either way.

5. Third-party cookies

Cookies set by FastSpring during checkout are governed by FastSpring's own notice (linked above). No third-party advertising cookies are set at launch. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future they will be opt-in and listed here at least 14 days before activation.
